This year is full of long week ends i understood. This week, next week and many more long week ends. My home town is 2000 Km away. I can not think of going home during week ends.
I thought it is good opportunity to move around in the wild nature nearby.
Well, There are not thick forest around Gurgaon. However there are few bio diversity parks and bird sanctuary.
Location :
Aravali Bio Diversity park is just 5 km from Gurgaon on the side of Delhi – Jaipur Highway towards Delhi.
Best time to visit :
Any time of the year.
What to expect :
Lot of local fauna & flora. Some birds, Eagles. It is a popular place for walking, running, jogging for Gurgaon people.
I was looking for tiny wonders of the mother nature.
Tiny wonders:
Look at this “would be” butterfly. May be it is preparing to form its cocoon. Soon it becomes a wonderful butterfly I am sure. May be next month I get to meet her again !
This one is a cormorant, a commonly found water bird. Normally they take a dip in the water (to find their food – the fish I believe) and then sit under the sun spreading the wings. This one was lazy I think.

Do not get me wrong – I am no Salim Ali. I just do some googling and read some Wikipedia to find out the more about the lovely creations of god. I just enjoy the time being with lovely nature.
