HiTech Washing

No, I am not writing about Hi Tech Cloth Washing Machines.

I am talking about washing our bottom after the daily routine. what prompted me to write about this simplest routine.

I am from India. One part of our Government machinery works and spends millions of money on Swatch Bharat (Clean India) mission. Basic theme and objective of this mission is driving cleanliness in general and providing basic toilet facility to millions of Indians who do not have this facility in specific. No doubt it is the need of the hour, urgent and important.

In India the toilets are categorised into two – Indian style and western style (commode). Commode is gaining popularity in urban parts.

You must be wondering what is this fellow blabbering about this shitty thing.

I have visited many Eastern and Western Countries over a period of time on business and leisure. I know Western style and our own Indian Style.

The point I am trying to make here is about my extreme experiences about washing our bottom.

While I was at Trekking some time we were to use open toilet under the sky behind the bush.

While in Tibet – I was dumbfounded to see the Indian style toilets – four seats in the same room, no barrier !!!!. Yes, It means four people could sit next to each other to do their business. I have no clue of reason for this design. When they built a room, they could have built barrier wall also to segregate these seats providing privacy. Unbelievable. No photographs, sorry. But it is true.

I was in Japan in 2008. When I entered the wash room of the hotel where I stayed, I was bewildered to see the control system the seat had. Of course the Commode, but with almost automatic system with various option to wash. Look here below – the actual picture I took. I took considerable time to learn to use it.

It was in 2008. I just wondered, what would have been the advancement of technology in 2019 ? I googled and I was not wrong. It has multiple controls even an HMI (Human Machine Interface), may be a Tab attached to it.

Look here below the HiTech washing Facility.

I wonder how can one, specially who is in urgency, learn to use these HiTech washing system !
