Monuments of Delhi

Delhi is the capital of modern India. The population being about 20 mio (2019) It is the fifth populous city in the world.

Delhi has been continuously inhabited since the 6th century BCE. It bears the historical events dating back to Mahabharata time. Through most of its history, Delhi has served as a capital of various kingdoms and empires. It has been captured, ransacked and rebuilt several times, particularly during the medieval period, and modern Delhi is a cluster of a number of cities spread across the metropolitan region.

Today in and around Delhi, one can see a lot of ancient buildings, mostly in ruins. However it also holds many beautiful modern architectural buildings too.

Monuments of Delhi unfolds the history of India as you walk through them.
